As an Ambassador, you will have access to events as a member of Surkus; to help existing Surkus members at an event with things like check-in or event questions during an event. In order to be selected as an Ambassador for an event, you must fit the criteria as a Surkus member for the event and you must opt-in to be the Ambassador if the Ambassador slot available.
**You must be on an iOS device to be an Ambassador, due to current limitations.
Frequently asked questions?
What if there are slots available?
Once the slot(s) are full, we encourage all members Ambassadors or not, to attend the event if it is still of interest or mark yourself as unavailable.
Will I lose my rating if I cancel an event as an Ambassador?
Yes, as an Ambassador you are still a member of Surkus that attends events, and we treat all of our members equally when it comes to responding, casting, and availability. Once you cancel as an ambassador, you are canceling your availability for the event just as you would a member.
Can I only go to events as ambassador?
Surkus does not encourage Ambassadors to attend events only if you can be selected as an Ambassadors, as this is one of the first of many updates to the program, we will be looking at members event attendance as a member and not just as an Ambassador to maintain your Ambassador status. It's important that every Ambassador continues to experience events as members to understand any issues or improvements that might be needed by the Ambassador program or Surkus events in general.
Can I still request to be manually cast?
Currently, there is no need to fill out or request additional casting. If we require manual selection of an Ambassador for an event, we will reach out to all Ambassadors who meet the event requirements to see who is available.
